I had a fair idea that I wasn't getting the whole "online business/MLM" concept down... I wasn't yet making a 6 figure income by doing what I was told...

But who really enjoys being told that you are doing it all wrong?!

When I started reading the Magnetic Sponsoring book, I couldn't believe how stupid I had been. The stuff seemed so obvious that anyone with a half of a brain would be already building their business this way-right?

Well, no! Apparently, once upon a time someone started an MLM business and said "This is the way to do it", and we have been doing it that way ever since.... Was it the correct way to build a business once? Maybe, I do not know...

But times have changed! And the way we are taught to build "the business" today is the reason that 99% of Network Marketers FAIL.

Have you been out there trying to sell your business to friends, family and your "top 100" list? Do you wonder why the response hasn't been as excited as you might be with the opportunity?

Consider this situation from the perspective of the people you are contacting. They are busy people ( aren't we all in today's society). They have full lives and lots of bills.

- Do these people lie awake at night dreaming of being Network Marketers?
- Do these people care about how great your business opportunity is?
- Do these people care about your amazing compensation plan?
- Do these people care about the great position they could be joining on your downline?

No, no, no, and no.

We are out there trying to sell businesses to busy people who need more work like an extra hole in the head. But wait you say, we are selling them a way to get more free time and loads of money. And that is the mistake! We shouldn't be SELLING them our opportunity. Every day we are bombarded with sales pitches.

Of all the things I learned in Magnetic Sponsoring, this would be the one that impacted my business and life the most. I have been on a journey of discovery since reading Magnetic Sponsoring. It has taken me months to fully appreciate the point Mike was driving at with that statement.

When you present your MLM opportunity the thing people are going to react to first is NOT your business, NOT your compensation plan, NOT the position on your downline, NOT even your amazing product. The first reaction is going to be toward YOU.

Why should they listen to you? Why should they believe you? Who are you to be telling them what they need?

If your prospects don't like you, no matter your business they won't join. If your prospects don't trust you they won't join you. If your prospects don't believe in you they won't join.

How do you become a MAGNET that people will want to join?

Firstly, you must become an "above the line" thinker. "Above the line" people accept responsibility. They look for a positive and the opportunities in any situation. "Below the line" people live in a world of denial and blame. Their circumstances are always someone else's fault. Do NOT be a "below the line" thinker.

Secondly, you must be a person of value. You should have something to offer people, and I don't mean --- a business opportunity. Are you an expert in your field? Have you made a success of your life? If you have expertise and experience that people want, they will come to you. Simple? You bet! Magnetic Sponsoring is not rocket science.

What if you are not an expert? What if you have no great wealth of knowledge and experience that people are knocking on your door to try and get a hold of? Then you should be educating yourself. Mike shows us how he spent $6,410 in one month on educational material. But you don't have that kind of money right? Then how much more do you need to be investing in your education!

This last year I personally spent over $4,000 on my education. Did I have that much to spare? No, I didn't.

However, I have made back 3 to 4 times back that as a direct result from what I learned. Will I be spending another $4,000 next year? No. I plan to spend upwards of $10,000- $20,000. Can I afford it? No ( Whoever came up with the credit card needs a medal) But once again, I expect the return on the investment in myself to be exponential.

The Real Reason that People Quit...

This seems like a very simple question that can be answered by a few typical/obvious answers:

They quit.
The didn't plug in.
They didn't participate.

Whichever it is, they quit.

What you should be asking yourself, or maybe know about yourself, is WHY...

Why didn't they follow through, while others do ?

When I learned the answer to this question last night listening in my Shaklee University site, it was very sobering...

Not only did the reason behind their results come into the open, but the reason for my recent spat of success has become apparent.

So what is the answer, the secret, the end all answer?

Why do most people fail when only a selected few succeed?

Drum roll.....

Those who do succeed have a CORE DESIRE to do so.

"Desire...your right Chris I've heard that 100 times from my upline. 'Just look for those who desire to make money and you'll do great. blah blah blah... Everyone I have ever talked to desires to make more money and it hasn't made any difference so far."

And you are absolutely right.

The difference is in their level of desire.

The only time anything gets done in your life - When you follow it through to completion with a sense of urgency, is when you desire to accomplish that goal at a Core Level of 100 on a scale of 100.

You must accomplish it. It's part of you, it completely consumes you.

It dominates your thoughts above and beyond anything else each day and all day.

These are core desires, and the people who really achieve any notable success in Network Marketing, have that accomplishment as a core desire.

They are the ones who you see on stage and hear on training calls.

That is the "secret" to success.

If reaching your goal, whether to pay off your credit card debt, buy a new house, a new car, save money for retirement, or fire your boss, if it is not a core desire, and not attached to your network marketing business, you WILL NOT succeed. Period.

The sad truth is that most people in this industry did not buy a business, they buy hope, a dream, an unattainable goal to them.

And this hope is NOT backed by true desire.

A career in Network Marketing ( no boss ever) has been my core desire since I was 16 years old when I started my first job as a dishwasher.

I didn't want to work for a paycheck that I had no control over. If I worked 100x more than everyone else, I'd get paid the same as long as I did it in the "40 hour workweek" that everyone else was.

Guess what, that didn't get me anything. I busted my butt while others didn't do anything and no more recognition was given to me.

That is when I decided that I wanted to be able to control my own paycheck. I've spent money on learning about how to be successful instead of going out to the bar with my friends or spending my money on things that wouldn't further me in my business.

The desire to never work for anyone else again has been a dominating force in my life, and it's the reason I wouldn't give up or "throw in the towel".

What this means is that my success was 100% guaranteed. It was no longer a question of IF I was going to be successful, but when...

And that is exactly why people you sponsor quit.

Don't get upset or mad at yourself over it. 80% of people who join you will never sponsor more than 1 rep or customer. Most people simply don't have the desire to be at a level of 100 to accomplish their goals through their business. They just bought hope in order to quiet the little voice inside their head that keeps telling them they need to make a change.

Once they buy into the business and don't make $1,000 in a week, they justify that their change "doesn't work". This is what the "opportunity seekers" are. That is exactly why I don't spend money on leads.

Such a tragedy. People sure are funny aren't they?

So my question to you is....

What is your desire level to achieve your goal through network marketing?

Is it at 50? (like most people)

Is it at 80? (still not enough)

Is it at 90? (nope, still not enough)

Or is it at 100? ( The only true level of desire that WILL produce results.)

You should be able to tell pretty quickly...

What do you do daily to build your business? How many books have you read on the industry? How many conference calls are you on each week? How many people do you talk to about your business each day?

What would you be willing to give and sacrifice to succeed?

I hope the answer to that question happens to be "whatever it takes", because I can promise you that in the end.... it's worth the sacrifice.

So how can you tell if your prospect is going to succeed or fail from the FIRST phone call?

Easy... Ask them the question "So which books are you currently reading on self-development and marketing?"

Anyone who is SERIOUS about being a successful Entrepreneur will be able to name at least one book that they are reading, if not more!

Those who can't answer this simple question are really just kidding themselves.

So, what my question for you is...

What books are you currently reading to better yourself? Are you truly committed to success in this industry?
If you don't have an answer to this, then this industry isn't for you. Face it, just go back to your 9 to 5 job and work for a paycheck that you have no control over.

How Important Is A System?

Are You Getting Paid For Networking Yet?

My facebook network has been growing unbelievably over the past 3days! It’s been quite the experience to say the least. But what do you think would happen if facebook would split the money with me that I’ve generated for them as ad revenue for people using their site?

Unfortunately, facebook doesn’t do that. But I found a site that does. It’s called zenzuu.com it’s a site similar to facebook, that pays 80% of it’s social networking revenue to it’s members. It sounds like a phenomenal concept. Plus it goes 10 levels deep, so as people you recruit, recruit others you can make a lot of money.

Since this concept is new, it is yet to be determined whether or not zenzuu will be the next major social networking site, but I’ve demonstrated that a network can grow extremely fast in a very short amount of time. Especially one that offer incentives to people just to connect with eachother by splitting the ad revenue.

That’s right, if zenzuu actually makes the kind of money they say that people can make – I’ll probably make $10,000 from writing this blog post and telling my FB network about it just as Brian Campbell will! By the way, trying to make money from you by referring you to zenzuu is not how I’m making my money this month.

I'd simply like to share something new and let you know about a potentially lucrative new thing. Zenzuu requires that you log into your account a minimum of 30 times in a calendar month to get your share of the ad revenue. So if you sign up for zenzuu, you’ll need to at least log in 30 times a month to see how much you earn. But who doesn't check their facebook at least 30 times a month anyway?

I’ll be logging into zenzuu myself every day during May to learn more and see how much money can be made. I suggest you do the same. As you continue to grow your social network on facebook, you can also promote zenzuu and see if it makes you some money.

I’ll be reporting how much money I make on zenzuu when I get some results. Hopefully I’ll see some accumulated earnings in my zenzuu account so I can share the information with my network so we can all have an easy way to supplement the income.

Networking Tips - Blueprint For A Winning Business

I know a lot of those MAKE MONEY ONLINE blah blah blah ads all have the same thing to tell you.

Most of them tell you "No selling, No prospecting, No work for you" and "Anyone can do this". Now tell me the truth, do you believe there isn't anything like that online that legitimately will make you money?

Don't kid yourself.

If they really didn't need someone to do the work, why would they want you when they could easily just do *nothing* themselves and make even more profits.

Hmm... it got me thinking.

Not too many people really understand how to make money online. They get e-mails everyday telling them to "JOIN THIS STARTUP, make millions and live the good life", "Quickest way to a million dollars", blah blah we have all heard it before.

That is why it is so frustrating for most network marketers to get through to your customer's now, they are constantly bombarded with offers.

When I first started out as a Network Marketer, I thought all I had to do was send out some e-mails and I'd be making millions....

and then I woke up and realized I had less money in my bank account than when I started and I was doing what most e-books tell you to do.

Mass marketing, handing out flyers, pushing the business opportunity in people's faces and all the other mumbo jumbo that Network Marketing had previously been thought of being, I tried it all.

After a frustrating 4 months, I finally figured out why I wasn't making money.

The reason wasn't anything too dramatic. Kind of just a slap to my hand and a re-direction.

I learned the secret to my first profits in Network Marketing and I learned it from one of the most unlikely sources, my friend who had NEVER read anything about making money online and making millions in MLM or Network Marketing.

His secret was to.....

MAKE SOME SALES OF A SMALL PROFIT PRODUCT.

He had been selling a Cleaning product that I had used and loved, but wasn't directing focus directly on this.

The product could be purchased by us for around $10.15 each bottle and we could re-sell these at $15 because of how well they clean.

Now, $4.85 isn't a lot of profit when you think about it.

But then it hit me.

If I could sell 10 of these small profit items, I would have a profit of $48.50, thats $50!!!

So I sold 10 bottles and made $50 to put back into my business.

BAM! I was in the profits and started making some money :-D Not sure about you guys, but I know when I first started making money through this job it all sort of....."clicked"...

Now, If I am feeling bad about not making money for a day, I make a sale of this bottle and make myself about $5-$6 each bottle since pricing drops as you get promotions. There I go, I at least got a sale today and made myself some money.

10 bottles later now and that's $50-$60 depending on how much I decide to sell them for ;-p

By keeping in touch with the people who use this cleaning product, asking how they have been, how the product works, etc, I have gotten more order's from those interested in other products and have found myself some new distributor's as well as some Business Builders.

Also, more member's have joined. Member's are the second next target( I'll get to this in another post). Member's are your residual income stream, the one's who MAKE you your money. They join for $19.95 and make order's of anywhere from $25-$300 a month. You can see where the money comes from with them :-) Commissions, Reaching new level's of commission percents, New business level bonuses.

No more relying just on the Business Builders, that's no way to build a business for an un-educated, new to the game marketer. I had to learn to make some profits before I could build the business the right way.

Treat the business as a real business and you WILL begin to reap the rewards of loyalty to you, loyalty to your brand and loyalty to the product.
